AI Usage Policy

Little Lobos Academy uses AI in a small, specific way: to give lessons a friendly narrated voice, and (in a planned feature) to help turn curriculum you upload into interactive lessons.

AI here is a helper, not a teacher. It supplements what parents, educators, and therapists do — it never replaces them.

Parents stay in control at all times, and AI-generated content can contain mistakes, so we ask that adults review it.

Where AI is used today

Lesson narration: we use ElevenLabs voice technology to read lessons aloud in a warm character voice. This helps early readers and children who learn best by listening.

Narrated audio is cached so the same lesson does not need to be regenerated every time, which keeps things fast and consistent.

Where AI is planned

We plan to use AI to analyze curriculum documents that parents upload and turn them into interactive lessons.

This feature is not live yet. When it launches, this policy will be updated, and it will only work on materials a parent has chosen to upload.

What AI is never used for

AI never makes decisions about your child. It does not grade your child in any official sense, diagnose anything, or determine ESA eligibility.

AI is never used to advertise to children or to build advertising profiles. Little Lobos Academy has no ads and does not sell data.

Children never interact with an open-ended chatbot. AI works behind the scenes on content that adults set up and supervise.

Parents stay in control

Parents create and manage all accounts and student profiles. Children never create accounts or change settings.

Children use the platform only under parent supervision, and parents decide which lessons and features their child uses.

AI can make mistakes

Like all AI systems, the tools we use can produce errors — a mispronounced word, an awkward phrasing, or (in planned features) a lesson that misreads the source material.
