Data Retention Policy
CyberWolfAI LLC · Version 0.9 (pre-launch draft) · Last updated 2026-07-28
In plain words
We keep your family's data for as long as you have an active account, because that is what makes the platform useful — progress tracking only works if progress is remembered.
When you delete your account, our intent is simple: your family's data goes with it. This page explains the details, category by category.
This is a pre-launch framework. Exact retention windows will be finalized before public family accounts open.
Account information
Your parent account email is kept while your account exists, because it is how you sign in and how we reach you.
If you delete your account, the email is removed along with the rest of your account data, except where a brief technical or legal hold applies (see below).
Student profiles and learning progress
Student first names, progress records, and activity attempts are kept while the account is active so children can pick up where they left off and parents can see growth over time.
Deleting a student profile, or the whole account, removes these records under the same process as account deletion.
Uploaded documents
Receipts, curriculum files, and other documents you upload stay available as long as your account is active — many families need receipts kept for ESA record-keeping.
You can delete individual uploads yourself, and account deletion removes the rest. Consider downloading copies of anything you need for your own records first.
Audio narration cache
Narrated lesson audio is cached so lessons play quickly without regenerating the same speech. Cached audio is platform content and may be cleared or regenerated at any time.
It is not a recording of your child — it is generated narration of lesson text.
Cookies and on-device data
Session cookies expire on their own schedule or when you sign out. Preferences stored on your device (like calm mode) stay until you clear your browser data.
We do not control on-device storage remotely — it lives with you.
Backups and technical delays
Like most cloud services, our infrastructure keeps short-lived backups for disaster recovery. Deleted data may persist in backups briefly before those backups cycle out.
Backups are protected by the same access controls as live data and are not used to restore individually deleted records.
Legal holds and finalizationpending legal review
In rare cases, law may require us to keep certain records longer — for example, billing records once subscriptions launch. The specific retention periods and any legally required holds are being defined with counsel.
This section is a framework pending legal review; final retention schedules will be published before public launch.
